A report released last month by the Alzheimer’s Association highlights some startling statistics about the degenerative, progressive brain disease. While advancing age is still the biggest risk factor for developing it, blacks and Latinos are in greater danger than any other group. Compared to their white counterparts, blacks have twice the risk of developing Alzheimer’s, and Latinos have 1.5 times the risk.
